FAPBM and MNP have created four Accelerator funds that will accelerate readiness of critical marine areas, dry forest protected areas, Madagascar’s World heritage sites and support Malagasy conservation professionals and community leaders who protect and manage Malagasy protected areas to receive sustainable finance.
Through these accelerator funds, co-management of these areas between local communities and government will be strengthened and benefits of working through these Protected Areas as agents-of-change for short term critical primary needs of local communities and rural economies and for long-term benefits to the country and indeed the world against negative impacts of Climate Change.
By providing funding over a fixed period of time, such as 3 to 7 years, you can help accelerate the scaling up of conservation successes already observed in some protected areas.
